The spirit of painting. Cai Guo-Qiang at the Prado by Isabel Coixet is a film about the creation, inspiration and work production of the Chinese artist in his process of ideation for his exhibition of the same name at the Museo del Prado, which opened its doors at the end of October 2017. The film captures a conversation with Cai Guo-Qiang, one of the most sought-after contemporary artists of the moment, with his admired Masters, a dream that Cai has been pursuing for some time.
The feature film was shot in different locations between New York and Madrid, and is co-produced by the Museo del Prado and Miss Wasabi Films.
