Luis Buñuel, novela was the title of Max Aub's latest project, which left thousands of typed sheets and dozens of audio tapes with interviews with Buñuel, his relatives, friends and collaborators, and the members of his generation.
The project traced the path of the greatest generation of creators ever given by Spanish culture to the world, led by the trio of friends of the Residencia de Estudiantes: Buñuel, Dalí and Lorca.
They were young and bright. They had a country project, of modernization of a stagnant society. But they suffered the tragedy of a war that broke them, them and their entire generation.
