Neighbors

Wrinkled faces; in an abandoned site, a shadow engulfs a cat, two hands intertwine, a demonstration placard moves forward. A film that seems at the verge of vanishing at any moment, with its temporality suspended: the people look like they are from another period, the frames, recovered from a distant past. But this is the present, at a neighborhood threatened to disappear. A motion that barely stops at little gestures of resistance.

Vecines (Neighbors) is a collective film created by Laboratorio Reversible at the territory it lives in: the Poble Sec borough, in Barcelona.
