Down n'hi do - The Dancing Camera

Down n´hi do - The Dancing Camera it´s a spontaneous project by filmmaker Mireia Ros following a movie workshop given to eightspecial youngsters: six with down syndrome and two with intellectual disabilities.After such a unique, touching experience, Mireia Ros decided to continue working with the group, turning the process of making a short film into the axis of this documentary; made up of pieces of stolen images, improvised setups and scenes caught accidentally and in the moment. A documentary in which freshness, spontaneity and sense of humor bring us closer to the everyday life of these young people, forcing us to self reflect on our own disabilities, suddenly rediscovering ourselves in that common place where filters become null and muted before the stark normalizations of our humanity.
