What is it like to be a Syrian-conflict war refugee for a family trapped in Turkey? How to move forward with your life when you have had to leave behind your wife and children, the woman you were engaged to or the career for which you had fought all your life?
Hayati is the story of Ossamah - one of the most shameful icons of the conflict because a TV journalist tripped him on Hungary's border - and his family, in an never-ending limbo to obtain a visa that allow them to continue with their lives, but that probably never comes. Paradoxically, they have a house, food and their lives are not in danger, but all their goals are stagnant.
Hayati talks about their lives freezed and about the dreams that we leave behind, a reflection on the wait and survival of thousand of Syrian families to whom war took the best years of their lives.
